Low Residue, Low Hazard Formulation
The formulation of Typhoon DUO is designed to support practical use in intensive animal production environments.
Approximately 94% of the formulation consists of non-hazardous ingredients, with only minimal solvent present as a result of the natural extraction process for pyrethrum.
The product does not rely on heavy solvent loading and does not leave significant residual deposits on treated surfaces, making it well suited to clean-out applications where hygiene and preparation for the next flock are critical considerations. In addition, the formulation is non-flammable, supporting safe handling and application on-farm.
Flexible Application for Poultry Sheds – Fogging and ULV Misting
For optimal results in poultry broiler sheds, TyphoonDUO PRO Concentrate can be applied using either thermal fogging with Sundew ProFOG™ Thermal Fogging Agent or ULV cold misting with water, providing flexibility to suit different treatment objectives and site conditions. For thermal fogging, TyphoonDUO is mixed at a ratio of one part TyphoonDUO to two parts Sundew ProFOG, producing a dense, fine fog capable of filling the entire shed and remaining airborne for an extended period. This increased hang time improves contact with flying insects and exposed crawling pests, while enhancing penetration into cracks, crevices and difficult-to-reach harbourage areas.
Sundew ProFOG is specifically designed to work with water-based formulations such as TyphoonDUO, enabling consistent, high-quality fogging performance that cannot be achieved with standard fogging agents. The result is a stable, long-lasting fog without the rapid settling associated with water-only dilution or the surface residue and slipperiness often seen with glycol-based systems.
For ULV cold misting applications, TyphoonDUO is diluted with water to form a stable microemulsion, allowing for effective distribution throughout the shed environment. When applied at label rates, this method provides rapid knockdown of flying insects and effective treatment of crawling pests within cracks, crevices and surface areas. This dual application capability allows operators to select the most appropriate method for each clean-out cycle, ensuring consistent performance while maintaining operational efficiency.
